Reason to Study at UniSHAMS:
The program was introduced to produce competent graduates and a skilled workforce in the field of Islamic banking and finance to meet market demand both domestically and internationally. This study program is a course of study based on the field of business management with a focus on the fields of Islamic banking and finance. Among the specialization subjects in the field of Islamic banking and finance include Fundamentals of Muamalat, Contemporary Muamalat, Islamic Financial Institutions, Fiscal Principles and Islamic Finance, Legal Policy of Islamic Finance and Banking, Theory and Practice of Islamic Banking, Islamic Financial System, Corporate Governance in Financial Institutions Islam, Gold Dinar, Islamic Investment Analysis and others. This program is also introduced with Islamic studies courses such as Islamic Legal Policy, Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, Al-Quran and others which this course will be an added value to the graduates of this program. This study program will produce graduates who are able to analyze and resolve issues and problems that exist in the business environment and solve them theoretically and practically on matters related to Islamic financial management and banking.

1. GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL NOMINATIONS
  1. Recognized Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0; OR
  2. Passed Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with a minimum of Grade C (NGMP 2.0 out of 4.0) in TWO subjects; OR
  3. Passed Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with at least the rank of Jayyid; OR
  4. Any other Diploma with a CGPA of at least 2.5 out of 4.0; AND
  5. Passed Mathematics at SPM level; OR

    Note: The requirement to pass Mathematics at SPM level for candidates (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) can be waived if the qualification contains Mathematics subjects and the achievement is equivalent/more than the requirement to pass the subject at SPM level.

  1. Specialization in the Field of Muamalat
    
    (For entry qualification diploma, Advanced diploma and bachelor's degree must be passed in Arabic.)

Reason to Study at UniSHAMS:
This study program is a course of study based on the field of business management with a focus on the field of Islamic financial planning. The six specialization subjects in the field of Islamic financial planning cover the basics of Islamic financial planning, Islamic financial system, zakat and tax planning, Islamic estate planning, retirement and waqf, risk management and takaful planning and Islamic investment analysis. This program is also introduced with Islamic studies courses such as basic muamalat, Islamic legal policy, aqidah and akhlaq and others which this course will be an added value to the graduates of this program. Upon graduation, graduates of this program are qualified to hold positions in Islamic finance companies as well as other sectors as financial planning is a key aspect in the organization. Reason to Study at UniSHAMS:
The program is designed so that students can graduate within three years (6 long semesters and 2 short semesters). The courses offered are based on the field of management focusing on the field of Islamic Banking.

The structure of this program is broken down into 3 main components namely UniSHAMS core, program core and program electives. The five elective courses of the program (Islamic financial system, Islamic banking contracts and transactions, Islamic economic system, Islamic Financial Institutions and Principles of Islamic Banking Management) offered in this program will be specialized subjects in the field of Islamic Banking. The study method of this program is by lecture.

Students will also undergo industrial training for 10 weeks to expose them to real work situations. After graduation, holders of the Diploma in Islamic Banking can continue their studies at the Degree level at UniSHAMS or any other IPTA and IPTS. In addition, they can also enter the job market related to banking either in the government or private sector.
