About Foundation Center

The Center for Foundation Studies was established on March 1, 2009 and at the beginning of its establishment, it was headed by a Director. Its main role is to offer three pre-Degree programs (Foundation) namely Foundation in Islamic Studies, Foundation in Management and Foundation in Science .

In the Northern Corridor planning, the education and research sectors have been identified among the sectors that will be given development focus. Accordingly, with the existence of the Center for Foundation Studies, the expansion of new programs at the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah International Islamic University (UniSHAMS) will provide an important contribution to the state of Kedah in such development. Therefore, this will place the state of Kedah as a center of educational excellence.

In addition, the offering of these basic programs can also provide opportunities for SPM and STPM graduates from schools in the northern region, especially those who are interested in continuing their studies at UniSHAMS. With these programs as well, UniSHAMS will produce excellent, pious and skilled graduates through the integration of education based on professional elements and Islamization.

With three programs offered and have been recognized by MQA clearly shows that all fields of knowledge are very important in this modern world. The application of naqliyyah and aqliyyah knowledge in each program guarantees the best quality to continue studies at the degree level.
