Established in 2016, the One-Stop Student Service Centre (OSSC) serves as the main hub for comprehensive student services, offering counter services both in-person and online (UniHelpdesk) to assist clients with matters related to Academics,Student Affairs, and Finance. OSSC was restructured in September 2020 with the appointment of a Centre Director and Co-ordinators for each unit.
Each unit coordinator is responsible for acting as a liaison for the latest information from the Academic Affairs Centre (PHEP), the Academic Management Centre (PPA), and the Treasury Department.
Initially, OSSC's primary functions were sponsorship and counter services. However, it has been updated that sponsorship is no longer under OSSC's purview, making counter services and the management of official correspondence its main functions.
FUNCTIONS OF THE ACADEMIC UNIT
- Plan and manage matters related to the receipt of academic application forms/documents and others.
- Review, manage, and monitor all application forms to ensure they are consistently updated.
- Assist in the admission process for new students (continuation).
- Plan, manage, monitor, and respond to inquiries/comments or complaints/appreciation/suggestions/applications from clients through the UniHelpdesk system.
- Manage the dissemination of information via print and electronic media.
- Handle the management of files, documents, and records of the Academic Unit.
- Assist in the collection, updating, and preparation of current data and information from PTJs as needed.
- Assist in the receipt, recording, and delivery of postal letters.
- Assist in asset and inventory inspections.
- Assist and/or replace other Unit Coordinators in counter service operations.
FUNCTIONS OF THE STUDENT UNIT
- Plan and manage all matters related to the receipt of student application forms/documents and others.
- Plan and manage all matters related to student ID cards.
- Receive and process confirmation letters for opening local student bank accounts.
- Manage and monitor official letters, registered letters, and registered packages (documents).
- Manage office supply equipment for operational use.
- Plan, manage, monitor, and respond to inquiries/comments or complaints/appreciation/suggestions/applications from clients through the UniHelpdesk system related to student affairs.
- Handle the management of files, documents, and records of the Student’s Unit.
- Assist in the review and recording of assets and inventories.
- Assist and/or replace other Unit Coordinators in counter service operations.
FUNCTIONS OF THE BURSARY UNIT
- Handle all matters related to the receipt of payment, claims, and other application forms/documents.
- Receive, process, and issue payment receipts to clients dealing at the OSSC counter.
- Manage student kits (bags & shirts).
- Assist in asset and inventory procurement applications for OSSC.
- Plan, manage, monitor, and respond to inquiries/comments or complaints/appreciation/suggestions/applications from clients through the UniHelpdesk system related to student and staff financial managements.
- Handle the management of files, documents, and records of the Bursary Unit.
- Assist in the collection, updating, and preparation of current data and information from PTJs as needed.
- Manage and monitor official letters, registered letters, and registered packages (documents).
- Assist in asset and inventory inspections.
- Assist and/or replace other Unit Coordinators in counter service operations.

- Provide professional advice, assistance, and services in a timely manner
- Collaborate with departments, faculties, divisions, and other units to improve OSSC services and processes.
- Encourage students to provide feedback on OSSC and the services offered for timely and appropriate responses.
- Conduct continuous surveys among students to improve OSSC services and processes.
Ensuring that all support services at OSSC are carried out efficiently and systematically.
