Overview
This programme offers a solid foundation in the tourism industry, covering areas such as travel operations, tour planning, cultural tourism, and tourism marketing. Students will learn how to manage tourism products and services. With industry-based training and experiential learning, graduates will be ready for roles in travel agencies, tour companies, tourism boards, recreational industry and tourism destination management.

Full Time: 3 Years

Pass the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with at least THREE (3) credits in any subjects or equivalent qualification; OR

Pass the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) with at least Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subjects or equivalent; OR

Pass the Malaysian Higher Religious Certificate (STAM) with at least Maqbul Grade in any subjects or equivalent; OR

1. Do I need prior experience in tourism to join this program?
No prior experience is required. The program is designed for beginners who are interested in the tourism industry.
2. What career opportunities are available after graduation?
Graduates can pursue careers in tourism-related industries such as travel agencies, tour operations, hotels, event management, customer service as well as in any hospitality related businesses. Graduates also may work in the government sector, such as Assistant Tourism Officers and related administrative roles in tourism and hospitality services.
3. Will I gain hands-on experience during the program?
Yes, the program emphasizes practical training through tour planning simulations, customer service training, destination management activities, recreational activities and industry exposure to ensure students are job-ready.
4. Is industrial training (internship) included?
Yes, students will undergo industrial training in tourism organizations, travel agencies, hotels, or related industries to gain real working experience.

Since the diploma is recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), graduates can continue their studies at various IPT without any issues.
