Overview
The Diploma in Islamic Banking program at UniSHAMS is designed to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, skilled, and ethical in the field of Islamic finance. The program provides comprehensive exposure to Shariah principles in financial transactions, including muamalat contracts such as murabahah, mudarabah, and ijarah, alongside the fundamentals of conventional banking for comparative purposes.
Students will study both theoretical and practical aspects through courses such as Islamic banking management, Takaful, fiqh muamalat, and financial analysis. Additionally, the program emphasizes the development of soft skills including communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving to ensure graduates are prepared to face real-world industry challenges.

Full Time: 3 Years

Possess the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) with at least THREE (3) credits and pass Mathematics, or equivalent qualification; OR

Pass Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 in a related field and possess SPM with at least ONE (1) credit; OR

Recognized certificate (Level 3, Malaysian Islamic Finance – MIF) or equivalent in MIF or related field; OR

Pass the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) / Malaysian Higher Religious Certificate (STAM) or equivalent; OR

Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government of Malaysia; AND

Pass Arabic language at SPM level or equivalent (for Muamalat program).
