Entry Requirements

For students continuing to First Degree programmes in Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy :

1) Pass SPM/SPMV with credits in Malay and English and at least Grade B in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/Additional Mathematics, and one other subject; OR

2) Pass O-Level with at least Grade B in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/Additional Mathematics, and one other subject; OR

3) Other qualifications recognised as equivalent and approved by the University Senate and KPT.

For students continuing to First Degree programmes outside Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy :

1) Pass SPM/SPMV with at least five (5) credits including Malay, Mathematics, any two Science subjects, and one other subject; OR

2) Pass O-Level with at least Grade C in five (5) subjects, including Mathematics, any two Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), and two other subjects; OR

3) Other qualifications recognised as equivalent and approved by the University Senate and KPT.

  • a) All charges excluding Sales & Service Tax (SST) imposed by Malaysian Government.
    b) Total tuition fees may vary for each programme depending on total credits taken.
    c) Examination fees RM20 (Local Students) or RM50 (International Students) /subject every semester "
    d) Deposit RM400 and will be refund back after graduation / withdrawal (The amount will be credited in ""Tabung Sedekah Universiti"" if not claim back after one year from date of convocation) 
    e) Visa processing fee for new student RM2,950 (IM14) & RM3,150 (Indonesia full offer) and subject to SST imposed by Malaysian Government 
    f) Meet & Greet will be charged :
    - KLIA to University - RM600/head
    - Bayan Lepas Penang Airport to University - RM100/head
    - Immigration Counter Bukit Kayu Hitam to University - RM200/head 
    g) Accommodation is subject to vacancy
    h) UniSHAMS reserves the right to make changes as and when necessary without prior notice.
